Veterinary Technologist Assistant

Sydney’s roots are in Airdrie, where she spent her childhood before heading to Olds for several years. Her journey eventually led her to Calgary, a place she chose with purpose, driven by her passion for veterinary medicine. From an early age, her love for animals grew from a longing to have companions of her own, fueling her dream of working in the field. She began her career path with the Veterinary Medical Receptionist program in 2018, then advanced to the Animal Health Technology program, earning her credentials in 2022. In 2023, she became a valued member of the Westland team.

Sydney’s aspirations extend beyond hands-on care, she hopes to become an animal health instructor, eager to educate and inspire future professionals. Outside of work, she finds joy in quality time with her niece and nephew, outdoor adventures like camping, and soaking up sunshine at the beach. Her playful and caring spirit is also shared with Willow, her lively golden retriever. With her warmth, dedication and love for animals, Sydney brings a special energy to both her work and those around her.
