Our Clinic Manager & RVT - Anya

Anya has been with Westland since September 2021 . Her gentle, good-natured spirit shines through her work. After taking a hard right turn from her early accountant plans, she found a true passion in the veterinary field. Upon graduating high school, Anya immediately went to school for the Veterinary Medical Office Assistant program. Shortly after, she promptly completed the Registered Veterinary Technologist program at Olds College in 2013 and has since been nursing little fur babies back to health. Spending most of her career in rescue shelters, Anya has found comfort in coming back to general practice. Though as a sucker for punishment, she is an active foster parent to kittens who are frequent visitors to the clinic as well. Who doesn’t love an awesome coworker with 4 week old kittens?! Her logical, no-nonsense approach to medicine is an invaluable asset to the clinic. When Anya is not taking care of her fosters, she has five other felines of her own. In her fleeting spare time, Anya’s whimsical character flourishes through trying new hobbies often like gardening and knitting hats.
